Nepali film industry seems to be slowly and steadily development with the time. The history of the nepali film industry has not been so enticing in context of education of the artists in the industry. The entry of some new educated artist seems to have helped industry however the general status of education in the industry is still appalling

The recent survey shows that very few percentage nepali artists had passed SLC examination. According to record only 40% of the nepali artists are SLC graduate.

When the viewer has to remember some educated artist the short list of the name always end up with Neer Shah,Rajesh Hamal,Yadav Kharel and some more who can be counted in fingers.

Some of educated pioneer in Nepali film industry are Baikuntha Maskey(Bachelor,Photography), TapaNath Sukla (Sound Engineer), Pradeep Kumar Upadhaya(Sound Engineer).Most of them were educated through Indian universities.
